Poppleton Road Out of School Club is a very successful Charity/Non-Profit Organisation and is very fortunate to have its very own site in the grounds of Poppleton Road School. This means it can provide the following benefits:

• Older children can play in the playground before school with their friends

• Children can be picked up safely without having to leave the school grounds

• Children can attend extra-curricular groups after school and still access the wrap around care the club provides

 

One of the other benefits of the club is the fact that it is run by a committee of volunteers, which means the childcare fees are very reasonable and certainly some of the lowest in the local area.

The role of the Trustee is to support the club’s managers through discussion and crucial decision making to make the club run to the standards required by OFSTED.  The Trustees meet once a term in a friendly and creative group with one shared objective: the best outcome for the club.

We are very lucky to be supported by York Childcare who have taken on the operational tasks such as policies/procedures updating, staff payroll, accounts and invoicing. This service also supports and advises club trustees.
